PRAYER WALK:
Take 44 Junior High young people, give them a goal, give them boundaries with
lots of room for imagination and input and watch what happens. The
Cornerstone youth program did just that. The 2002 Disciples designed, cleared and
built a Prayer Walk in the woods. It was the first large
undertaking with the Disciple Program. They gave above and beyond during 95+ degree
weather, dirt, wasp stings, poison ivy and minor injuries. Leaders emerged
and a bond was formed. The Disciples have left a legacy for all people who
use CSF. It is a beautiful place to reflect, pray and rest. It is a seven
station walk that leads you through praise, confession, thanksgiving, asking
and responding back to God. It also features a two station hideaway for a
more secluded prayer time. When you visit the site, please take time to
visit our prayer walk.
J.A.M. Garden:
In 2005, the J.A.M. (Jesus and Me) Garden was added to Carson-Simpson Farm by the Disciples. It is a place specially designed for children. It has three areas to sit and reflect. This gift was developed, created, and paid for by the youth. What a gift, make sure you get the chance to use it.
