Good Stuff Thrift Clothing Drive

Now that the weather has officially turned chilly, you might be converting your wardrobe from tank tops to sweaters. During the change, you might notice clothes you thought you’d wear, but didn’t. Or maybe you bring out the winter clothes and discover some items don’t fit your look anymore.

Bring those clothes to us! We are hosting a clothing drive on November 11 from 9 am - 12 pm to collect your gently-used clothing, shoes, baby materials, and household items and taking them to Good Stuff Thrift.

Good Stuff Thrift stores are more than your average second-hand shop. They’re driven to help underserved kids in our local community by donating profits to organizations (like ours) that support kids and families. Just some of the charities they support include Bethana, Choice One, Christ’s Home, Young Life, Ann Silverman Health Clinic, and several others.

Their mission is to run their stores as efficiently as possible so they can “provide the highest level of funding for helping kids in need in our communities.” Good Stuff Thrift also recognizes that their stores have a direct impact in communities, including:

  • Providing low-cost clothing and household goods for the community

  • Keeping gently-used items from ending up in landfills

  • Providing opportunities for people in our community with special needs to gain work experience

  • Providing a place for people recovering from drugs and alcohol a place to meet and to work

  • Providing volunteer opportunities for those looking to give back to the community

  • Providing low-cost housing for people requiring a sober living environment

For these reasons and more, we are proud and excited to have forged a partnership with Good Stuff Thrift over the past year. If you came to Worship Fest in October, you might recall seeing signs for the store as they were our Main Stage Sponsor. By donating clothes at one of our clothing drives, such as the one on November 11, you are directly contributing to Good Stuff Thrift’s ability to give back to our community, including to camp. Their support will go towards supporting camper scholarships, keeping costs for camp low, and ongoing camp maintenance and growth.

So please support us and the amazing Good Stuff Thrift stores by digging through your closets and pulling out items that still look and feel great but are ready for their next home. We are also accepting shoes, household goods, furniture, and jewelry. Bring these items to camp on November 11 between 9 am and 12 pm, and we will take it from there. You can also support the drive by downloading our flier and sharing the information with others.
