Outdoor Education and Adventure Starts at CSF

We are excited to announce that Carson Simpson Farm is now offering Outdoor Education and Outdoor Adventure field trips for groups of all sizes, catering to students from 2nd through 12th grade. Groups will be hosted in the Autumn (Labor Day - November 1) and the Spring (March 1 - June 1).

Outdoor Education and Outdoor Adventure is a natural fit for Carson Simpson Farm. We love bringing kids of all ages to our property to experience God’s amazing creation in person. This is the next step in taking a deep look at the wonderful natural world around us.

Outdoor Education lets teachers take learning out of a traditional classroom and into the great outdoors. Students are able to learn about the natural world, get fresh air, move around, and have new and exciting experiences. At the same time, they are learning practical science which they can see in action around them, including in their own yards, gardens, or neighborhood parks. Our sessions include science-based education sessions around sustainability, water and soil studies, habitats, ecosystems, and biodiversity.

By bringing students outdoors to learn, they gain an appreciation of the sciences while also building life skills such as teamwork and problem solving. It is an inclusive environment for engaging learners with the natural world around them.

Our Outdoor Adventure sessions take practical learning to the next level. We are teaching skills to help kids enjoy spending long periods of time in nature, such as camping, hiking, fishing, or any other outdoor hobby. Groups will be able to build skills in orienteering, building a shelter, cooking over a fire, identifying helpful (or harmful) plants, and a host of other outdoor skills. If groups are looking for more fun than learning, we are also offering our camp expertise in creating activities around team-building, or letting groups experience some of the fun of camp by playing some of our most popular camp games. Whatever the activity, we hope to instill in kids a love for the great outdoors.

Anyone can come with a group of 10-250 kids, whether this is for a school field trip, scouts trip, homeschool adventure, or any kind of group ready to learn. You can learn more about our Outdoor Education and Adventure sessions on our website or contact the office to ask questions.
