Our Amazing Team

All For God’s Glory

Carson Simpson Farm Chrisitan Camp has a team of dedicated people who work hard to create a meaningful camp experience for pre-school and school-age kids. This includes year-round staff, summer staff, overnight PEACE ministries counselors, and a small army of behind-the-scenes supporters.

Year-Round Staff

Jonathan Curtis,
Camp Director

Having been a camper through his school-age years, a teenage leader, and counselor at camp himself, Jonathan understands the positive impact camp can have on kids’ lives. Jonathan attended West Chester University, graduating with a B.S. in History with a teaching certificate in Social Studies and Language Arts. Prior to becoming the Camp Director, Jonathan taught at-risk youths for 6 years. He and his wife, Jessica, are committed to serving Jesus Christ by making disciples through Christian camping. They are blessed to share this mission with their two children, Charlotte and Benjamin.

Jessica Curtis,
Program Manager

Jessica fell in love with camping during a summer in college when she worked as a counselor at an overnight camp for children with disabilities. She attended West Chester University, where she met her husband Jonathan, and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She spent ten years as a Labor and Delivery nurse at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania before leaving her job after feeling called to serve God and start a career in camping. Jessica fell in love with Carson Simpson Farm after spending her first summer as the camp nurse. She feels blessed to work with her husband and help to create a nurturing and faith-filled environment for campers.

Ray Neitz,
Facilities Manager

Ray is the longest serving member of Carson Simpson Farm, and just recently retired from the role of director after twenty-six years of service. After retiring from the Camp Director role, Ray Neitz continues to serve the camp’s mission as the Facilities Manager. Ray leads all facilities and property maintenance teams and volunteers. His love for kids and camping is evident as he moves about the camp and interacts with campers.

Summer Staff

Great experiences at Carson Simpson Farm Christian Camp wouldn’t happen without our amazing summer staff. Made up of college students, parents, young people, and volunteers from all across the tri-county area, our staff is dedicated to making each summer the best summer ever for their campers.

Our staff comes from the tri-county area and usually include college students, parents, young people, and volunteers. Often our summer staff are former campers and teen leaders who want to pass their love of camping to the next generation of kids. Our vision is that our campers are convinced of God’s love for them, and that each staff member demonstrates Christ’s love in all they do.

At the core, our staff is a caring, diverse team of individuals who are fully trained in creating a great camping experience for each kid. Each staff member completes an application, a face-to-face interview, child abuse training, PA State Police checks, Childline checks, and FBI fingerprints. Additional training is provided by our full-time staff and specialists prior to the start of camp.
