Bringing Campers More Fun with Less Travel

With summer just around the corner, we are excited about all of the activities we have lined up for our campers. At the same time, we know that camp is about more than just the activities we develop – it’s about creating a safe, joyful space where campers can grow, explore, and build lasting friendships. This is part of the reason why we have prioritized pouring our time and resources into developing our on-site features, rather than exploring field trips and off-site activities. We’ve found that the most meaningful moments happen right here at camp. By keeping the fun on-site, we give campers the freedom to fully immerse themselves in the camp experience without the interruptions of travel or the stress of unfamiliar places.

Let’s break down why!

More Time for Fun, Less Time Traveling

We are excited for every moment we get to spend with your campers each day! Why spend any of that time stuck on a bus? By staying on-site, we trade travel time for more interaction time, letting campers jump right into their day with rotating activities every 45 minutes. Whether they’re scoring goals, making art, splashing in the pool, or learning archery, every moment is filled with excitement and discovery.

Greater Flexibility for Endless Adventures

One of the best parts of staying on-site is our ability to go with the flow. If the weather changes or campers are especially excited about an activity, we can pivot in real-time to keep the day running smoothly. Rainy morning? No problem! We’ll shift to indoor crafts, skits, games, songs, or other activities without missing a beat.

Safety and Supervision You Can Trust

Keeping all of the activities within our camp means we can prioritize safety without compromise. Our staff knows the grounds inside and out, allowing for close, attentive supervision in a familiar environment. Parents can relax knowing their kids are having a blast in a secure, well-monitored space with a trained staff who prioritize safety.

Stronger Friendships, Stronger Community

When campers are going from activity to activity together, they bond more deeply with their peers and counselors. Shared experiences in a familiar setting foster stronger group dynamics, turning camp friends into a summer family. The consistent routine also helps younger campers feel comfortable and confident, making it easier for them to dive into new experiences without the stress of an unfamiliar location.

More Activities, More Variety, More Fun

Who needs a field trip when Carson Simpson Farm already has so much to explore?

We regularly add to our consistent on-site activities, including features such as our basketball courts, volleyball courts, gaga court, swimming pool, playgrounds, 9-square court, and human foosball courts. Soon, we will be adding an exciting Ninja Course to that line up!

The secret ingredient to keeping each week magical, however, are the special events we bring to our facility. We tie an exciting event to each week’s theme and bring in all of the materials and personnel needed to make the event a success - at no extra cost to our camp families! Some examples of special events include:

  • Field Day

  • Expertise Demonstrations (Service dog training, science experiments, music appreciation)

  • End of Summer Carnival

  • Camp Talent Show

  • Water Carnival

  • Concerts and Performances

  • Olympics

  • Luaus and Pool Parties

We update our Events Calendar each year prior to registration opening so you can always see what each year will bring. (Special Events are scheduled early and are subject to change due to weather, camper interest, etc.)

Our focus is on creating a vibrant environment where campers can explore their interests, build lasting friendships, and try new things without needing to leave the safety of camp. If you’d like to learn more about the activities we offer, check out our activities page and discover why staying at camp makes for an unforgettable summer!
